Gilbert Tohon CAMARA
Maître Gilbert Tohon CAMARA is the Managing Partner of CGT-Avocats. Admitted to the Guinea Bar on 30 November 2012, he advises and represents clients in high-stakes advisory and litigation matters across Guinea and the OHADA region.
He holds a degree in business law and has developed a broad practice in corporate and commercial law, criminal law, banking law, mining law, real estate, employment law, and arbitration. He regularly appears before Guinean courts and has experience connected to proceedings involving the Common Court of Justice and Arbitration (CCJA).
As part of his continued academic specialization, he has :
- Successfully completed advanced training in Mining and Environmental Law, strengthening his expertise in mining regulation, environmental compliance, and regulatory risk management.
- Obtained a Specialized Master’s Degree in Corporate Governance, Administration Track (DSGE-AE) from ERSUMA (Regional School of Magistracy of OHADA), enhancing his expertise in corporate governance frameworks, organizational management, and strategic oversight within the OHADA legal system.
This dual competence — legal and governance-oriented — enables him to approach mandates from both a litigation and institutional structuring perspective.
As Managing Partner, he defines the firm’s strategic direction, supervises complex mandates, and ensures the highest standards of professional rigor, regulatory compliance, and client representation.
